Hi,
Our adult "breeder feeders" are small to medium sized rabbits; about 5-6 pounds as adults. I feed what I call "fuzzies" to my yearling BPs. At this stage the feeders still haven't opened their eyes, which puts them at the size of a weaned to small rat. My adult BPs get "hoppers", which have their eyes just opened and are the size of medium to large rats. The feeders that outgrow their usefullness get traded to our local reptile shop (yes, we are lucky) for rats & mice. That way we are able to offer a variety in our snakes' (& my husband's monitors') diet. IMHO rabbits are much easier and far more fun to raise than mice or rats!! If you are local to Raleigh, NC let me know, and you can test out your BPs "taste" for them
