Need help with my incubator Please

rebel102175 Aug 19, 2005 03:59 AM

Hello everyone, My name is Brian. I am haveing some trouble with my incubator I was hoping someone could help me out here. i am going to be incubating Standing Day Gecko eggs. I need a temperature of 82 degrees. I have a Little Giant Still Air Incubator 9200. I got the 7200 Forced Air Fan Kit for it. Now my problem is that the lowest temperature I can get is in the high 90's. Can anyone tell me a way to get the temperature down or might I have the wrong kind of incubator? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, can I ask where you have the incubator (as far as what room and the temperature of that room)

You have put the incubator in a room that is much cooler that the desired temperature you want.

Example: I need to incubate collared lizard eggs at approx. 83- 84 degrees In order for my incubator to go there I have it in our bedroom, that has central air at about 72.

If you have all that okay and have it placed in a cooler spot than what you need it to be, then something else is wrong and maybe someone else can better help.

Hope ya get this all figured out,

I have my incubator in the living room now, it stays in the upper 70's in there. I have had this incubator running now for 2 days, watching the water level in the bottom and the temp has now went under 97 degrees that I have noticed. I have the thermostat turned all the way down. Could this have anything to do with the forced air fan maybe? Anyone think i should maybe unhook the fan and see what temps I can get like that. I desperatly need to figure this out cause if I am right my gecko will be laying eggs pretty soon. She hasn't eaten in about 3 days now. I read that she should stop eating about 2 weeks before she is ready to lay the eggs. Thanks again for any help you can offer.
