yes they can get worms..yes alot of animals including snakes have different types of worms and show no ill affect..actually millions and millions of humans carry many different types of worms and don't know it (yet)

yes I think a plant will increase humidity.if you water it enough....easier to use cypress mulch and wet it down once a week or so....and the ball may destroy the plants anyways with digging and crushing affect

one plant in a room won't do much....

i just took my wild caught female to the vet today 8/19/05... and the vet looked at her stool and found that she has round worms and (i dont know how to spell it so im sounding it out...sorry...) its called cock zit e a... hehe sorry.. but i asked the vet a few questions about worms and about mice who might have it. she told me that there is a chance that the snake can get something from eating a mouse that has worms. she also told me that there is a person who lives i think in West Virgina who checks all his mice and rats for any illnesses, worms, parasites, anything! but i think this person sells them p/k?... im not sure.
my wild caught will be going on some medication in a few days to treat her worms.. she is 4 years old and weighs 602 grams... she hasnt eaten for me in a year now.. its sad but now shes going to get better. she struck at a rat the other night for the first time! but she got scared and didnt eat it!
wish her luck every one!!
i hope this kinda helps you out? iam just telling you what was told to me. good luck and take care!!
here is a picture of her now.
