Something wrong with my little buddy..

T-Mal Aug 19, 2005 09:17 AM

Choch, my fat tail has developed a bump on his right side. I thought it could have possibly been a case of mistaken identity and he may have been a she with an egg.

I took him back to the pet store and the man who sold me him said he didn't know what it was. I asked him if he thought I should take a picture and ask you guys. So, here goes..

Do any of you have experience with this and/or can tell me what it is??

Sorry for the bad quality. But, he doesn't like having his picture taken for some reason...

And here he is in all his pleasantly stuffed glory.

i would imagine that he has internal parasites. check out a reptile vet or do some research on wild caught fat tail geckos and see what you come up with for that. i'm sure it isn't too hard to find info on it, a few of my WC gekko vittatus have similar markings, i don't really worry too much about it as long as they keep good weight and don't seem to get emaciated.

He's not a wild caught. He's an incubated little bugger. And the lump is in that one spot and doesn't seem to cause him any discomfort.

Your guess is parasites??
