Vivarium waterfall construction question

JonpCab Aug 20, 2005 12:21 AM

I'm finally building my "dream vivarium" for my Whites. about 15 or 14 of one side of the viv is going to be dedicated to a waterfall and pond area.

It's going to be pretty big and it's kinda like the pond leads to the shore which leads to jungle. And the "trees" get bigger and thick the more you move away from the water fall. Right now I'm starting small to test it all out before I go for the BIG one. I'm really excited about it!

It's not so much a waterfall as it is a water- or "weeping-Wall" where the water flows down a slightly angled wall of rough corkbark and stuff.

yadda yadda yadda . . . Anyway, I was wondering the best way to filter the water. The plan that I had was to have the pond water sucked up into filters, cleaned, and then circulated back down the wall and into the pond. What filters would be the best way to go with this? And what's the easiest way to completely clean out the water and how often should it be done.

Thanks a lot! sorry for the length

Jon

in the 1st paragraph that's supposed to be "1/4 or 1/5 of one side"
