The lobsters and hissers both climb. Neither are considered pest, but under the right conditions may survive in your house for some time. The lobster are the best breeders, but they are very fast. Here is a list of good non-climbers. By the way non of these roaches fly. The non-climbers breed slower, but if you take the time to build a good colony you will produce plenty of babies to feed off.
Eublaberus prosticus (orange head roach)
Blaptica dubia (orange spot roach)
Eublaberus distanti (4-spot roach)
Blaberus giganteus (giant cave roach)
Blaberus craniifer (death's head roach)
Blaberus discoidales (Discoid or false death head roach)
All these are easy to keep. A nice rubbermaid with red bran ,pine shavings, or moss. They like dry cat and dog food. Oranges, apples, carrots, romaine and just about anything else. Most have little to no smaell and need cage cleaning only every few months. It takes babies 3-4 months to turn into adults, and they usually live 1 to 2 years. Average size of adults is 1 1/2"-3" and babies usually start at about 1/8". The more food and heat you provide the faster they breed. My average temps on the bottom of the rubbermaid is 80-100F. Patience is the key to success. Good luck.
