ruthven's kingsnake question?

kfisher29 Aug 20, 2005 08:17 AM

I just hatched out 10 ruthven kings and was wondering if I could keep them in the same container for a couple of weeks without them eating each other untill I get my new containers to house them seperately? Any info on cannibalism in this species would be much appreciated. Kevin

You have got to remember that they are cannibalistic from birth, you may get away with it you may not.
iv kept pairs of the same size together without problems, but in other cases iv had caos introducing kings to each other out of breeding season.
so i would lear on the side of caution and find some tubs to seperate them.

i hope this helps your dilema..
and congrats on the babys good luck..
