Rescued Burms...Any photos?

goini04 Aug 20, 2005 08:38 AM

Hello all,

As a few of you may know, I am building a website promoting the responsible keeping of the more dangerous specimens of our hobby (ie, crocodilians, large constrictors, and hots). I can talk all I want about the large number of burmese pythons and such that are abandoned due to not being able to care for them, but I feel that it might hit the nerve a little harder by showing them the animals.

Any facilities or private keepers/rescuers have a large number of "pet" burms that have been handed over to you that you can get a picture of?

Also I would appreciate photos of anyones LARGE constrictors. The bigger the better as it helps to prove a point about what these animals can become.

My opinion is that you can pretty much put anything in black and white for people to read and talk about it as much you want, but I think that seeing it first hand will ultimately make people think harder.

I would appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks and Best Wishes,

Chris

If you want some photos of big snakes check out www.mccarthyboas.com. He has a whole slew of big snake pictures most of them with their owners for size comparison. Everything from burms and retics to boas and anacondas. He also has some of "baby" the world record burm. Some 25 feet and 350 plus pounds last I heard. Good luck.

Both my male and female albino's were rescues. The female had a pretty severe (imo) RI..the male had a minor case of the same.
several hundred dollars and many shots later they are both doing very well.
The first pic is the female the second is the male. Go ahead and use them if you'd like.

Jason,

Thank you this is definitely what I was looking for. I will certainly use them and I will definitely give you full credit for the photos. I am still working on my site and I will send you an email with a link so you can check it out when it is up.

Thanks again,

Chris

How long do you think till its finished?

goini04 Aug 22, 2005 07:06 AM

Approximately 3 weeks. It is taking me a while since my site is going into detail on crocodilians, large constrictors and hots it is taking me a little while to find some of the things I need/like to have.

I am getting really close. I have been working on it for the past few months. However, I work alot so its only been within my spare time.

Thanks again,

Chris
