I am about to get a CB pair of pyros that are from the Carr Canyon area. Would this be considered in the woodini subspecies? I have heard that subspecies has been considered invalid. Can anyone shed some light?

Woodini is no longer considered a valid sub-species, as is infralabias. People sometimes still use the term woodini to refer to pyros from the Huachuca Mtns. Carr Canyon is a well known locale in the Huachucas for pyros (since it's close to the road!)

That animal would simply be Lampropeltis pyromelana pyromelana. Check out the link from the previous post for more great stuff.
