My brand new baby eastern shed for the first time yesterday (two days out of the egg). Should I try to feed him immediately or give him a day or two? I was told to try pinkies, but I don't know that he can take a pinky. Maybe a newborn. He's 5-6 inches long. He's seems to have plenty of energy and all. So should I try today or wait a couple?

i've read that some will go 3 weeks before they eat.watch the yoke.some can shed the day they hatch and some weeks later.did you see the post about senting with worms?you can try pinky heads if you can stand to remove them.pinkys are the best food but you can always get on them later.the best of luck to you!!! theres no turning back now,now your hooked on herps

That's an understatement!! I've been hooked on snakes for years. I got my first when I was 14 and I've loved them since before that. It's one of those things most people love but few will admit, in my opinion.

there will be some at the next ky reptile expo,i hope.i'm 28 years old and have allways been a nature boy,but i have only had pets for about 6 years.i've had 2 baby w. hogs but sold them soon after.i just got me one to keep 2 expos back.shes a med. 66%het4 albino and is here to stay.have you come to any of the expos?the prices are great!!!
