Burrowing roaches

joeysgreen Aug 21, 2005 11:40 AM

Obviously they arn't visible for long in a natural vivarium, but they eat compost and such, plus provide a good meal the odd time they surface. They have colonated my day-gecko's cage, and I've only seen them when moving cage furnature to clean. These are an exotic roach and I don't think they'd be a problem if they escaped (or at least that's what the dealer said) but I am still a bit on edge. Any ideas on how to reap the benefits of the roaches in the substrate but keep any wanderers from escaping?

It is easier to comment if I know what species it is.
