What Makes A Yelly Belly?

SnakeRookie Aug 21, 2005 11:57 AM

I have a 100% het for Albino female that's belly is as yellow as any yellow belly I've saw with it being clear all down the center.
I'd post a picture of her but every time I take one the flash bleaches out the yellow on her belly in the picture.

Thanks!

Sorry about that......

Check out the link below for more info. Could just be that your snake has a yellow belly but is not a Yellow Belly. Liver problems can also cause the belly to turn yellow.

I'll get her out tonight & check out for flaming & the speckling, but she does have a high amount of yellow on her sides much like her half sib brother in this picture.

Thought I'd assist you. The animal in the picture looks normal. When you see a true YB or het ivory in person you could pick them out of a shipment of w.c.'s if you wanted to! You just need to see one in person, pretty neat looking if you ask me!

The first two pictures are of a Female which was sold to John Manser:

this last pic is of an animal I sold to Ralf:

From what I've seen they don't have to actually have a yellow belly.

The picture I posted is her half sib brother who has the high yellow sides like her but not the yellow belly...... But her belly is as yellow as the pics you posted.
