Hi, I don't post here or anything, but for a while, collared lizards have sounded like interesting captives. For the past few years, I've been interested primarely in snakes, and still am, but I'm thinking about getting into these guys for a fun little side project (Money permitting---I've purchased a couple of snakes this summer already, so If I don't think I can afford these guys and their upkeep, I'm not going to get into them).

I have an empty 30-long aquairum that'd be perfect for a pair, (maybe a trio . . .but who knows), so I just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask . . .Who here breeds collareds? What species and subspecies do you have available? The two species that interest me are C. collaris (and their subspecies) and C. dickersonae. What should I expect to pay for an attractive, young, CBB Collared of either species/subspecies?

I've lurked around here trying to learn anything and everything, and have checked out Will Wells' site and his captive care article . . .I feel pretty comfortable with the care for these guys, and have a couple of ideas as to how I'd set up the cage if I decide to get into collareds. However, I'm always open to suggestions and pointers, or just little tidbits of info on these guys you don't find in books or care articles, etc . . .

Anyways, instead of trying to indivigually email breeders that I know of, I figured I'd just make a post here because I think alot more people will see it this way . . .I'm interested to hear what you all have available, and I looove pics.

Thanks for looking.
