WOOHOO Busy day here in California, more rainbows spotted!!!!

Just found another female giving birth. This is my first time for two litters on the same day. She's just started and seemed a little camera shy so I'm leaving her alone....probably best for her and the babies even though I'd much rather watch and take pics.

This'll be the third of seven litters I'm expecting, maybe Linda is right.....full moon and all!!

Will get back with details when she's done. (and I did take a few pics)

Wow, was a busy day, two litters on the same day. First litter was 23 babies and 3 slugs. Second litter was 21 babies, 3 stillborn and 7 slugs.

a few pics of litter two:

Pic 1 is just getting started, only a few expelled (including the still borns).

Pic 2 was 5 or 10 minutes later...all done.

Pic 3 is the pile o' slime and babies.
