Pools and filtrations systems

R_AK47 Aug 21, 2005 10:09 PM

Hello Croc forum. What kind of filtration sytems do you guys use for the small ponds in your enclosures. I am primarily interested in medium pools, around four or five feet in diameter. The pond I am planning is actually going to be for a Nile monitor lizard, but I'd think the filter concepts would be similiar. The lizard usually uses the small the pool that is in his enclosure now as his bathroom. I'm thinking a good filter system might make maintenance of the pool section easier. Thanks for you help.

i have a 100gl pond for my gator and it has a 800gph pond filter and for a beter filtration i got rid of one of the sponges and put a nilond sock with pool sand in its place it keeps the water verry clean for along time.
