Can't sleep so posting a pic...

Genetic reduced ball python...result of breeding original sire to daughter. What is deceptive about this is how the color and pattern dramatically improve as they age. Just another fun project to work with.

Does their pattern actually change as they age?
I can understand color, but having a pattern change as they
age is a little different. Congrats!

The pattern itself does not change in shape, but as the animal grows, the black diminishes in relation to the background color. Adult versions of this can be seen on the Chicago Reptile House website. The black is outline in very light highlights making these animals very attractive. Going forward, combinations with other morphs should provide enhanced appearance. Time will tell, but the future looks quite promising. As an aside, I do not expect too many GRP's to be sold for sometime as breeders get a better idea of how the combinations work out. I notice certain markers with my offspring that are unique and worth further mapping. I also notice color variations as well as pattern abnormalities in the line I am working with.
