Rub it's usually prey item on a washed rodent. And offer it.

Hello again, twice in one day, wow!
If you're considering scenting a pinkie for your 7" Banded, perhaps you should hold off until it readily accepts the "scenting" food. Fish are more easily digestable than rodents and your little snake needs some energy before it rests while digesting a pinkie. Notwithstanding, if you've been successful in getting it to eat a pinkie already - GREAT! That may be all it takes to inspire it to take just about anything you offer.

I think Im gonna hold off on the pinkys for now. I went to the pet store for the 3rd time and bought rosy red minnows. This time I only put 2 in the water bowl. I had to drag the little guy and drop him right into the water bowl for him to realize there was food in there! Well low and behold, after licking/smelling the water, it looked like he took a couple of laps inside the bowl, came out, sat on the rim for a second then dipped its head and hunted down some food. I was kind of excited so I grabbed my mini video cam and recorded his 1st meal!

Thanks to everyone who helped with their replies!
You've created a monster. Nowhere in the world will fish be safe!

Ahh just a little update from 2 months ago. My little guy is doing well, he eats like a mad man now. I buy about 10-12 minnows every week and he tears them up within a day or two. He has shed a 2nd time already and seems to be growing nicely. I will post up some pics very soon.
