Health Issue With My Hypo Boa

snklvr Aug 22, 2005 01:54 PM

Hi-I have a 5-6ft female hypo boa that I've had since she was a baby. And on Saturday she started like squeezing her body on occasion.Kinda like a spasm. She is not constapated and had gone to the bathroom. She was acting strange after that just cruising the cage. She doesn't do it when I hold her.I have put her in warm baths. She has not been in with a male. She seems uncomfortable but its not constant her body spasm.Could she have ate a bad rat?I know after she had gone it smelt like the rat was fed cruddy food. But I do get my food from reputable producers.I buy from Big Cheese.I just can't figure it out.Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.Don't mean to sound dumb just haven't seen anyhting like this? Thanks so much,Kyndal

That's an interesting idea, I've follicalization.

If the problem persists more than a few days, and/or you see other symptoms, or your boa just seems darned uncomfortable, a vet visit is a good idea to rule out anything that could be a larger problem. In the mean time, I wouldn't worry, and just sit back and monitor your girl
