cooling FUTURE breeders?

OC-Balls Aug 22, 2005 04:07 PM

I have some baby girls that will not be ready to breed this upcoming season, but should be ready the following year.

If I want to breed these girls in the future, do I need to cool them this season, or only during the years I plan to breed them?

Thanks,
Ken

Personally, I would not cool them. What I do, is either set up a different room to breed in, or heat a seperate rack for females, or males, that will not be breeding this year. That way they can eat throughout the winter to be even bigger next year, but that is just what I did this season, and all my "smaller" girls ate through the winter.
