Hey we got a bunch of blotched and diamondback nerodia around the neighborhood (like most of the area) and i was curious: Do they stop musking after being in captivity for a while? I've caught a few and they smelled terrible! Also, even if the WCs stink, will their CB babies musk?
Thanks

Sorry but they never stop to musk Even the CB will musk. I have a cb nerodia and he very rarely musk. But he can sure do ! They musk when they are affraid so if they are a bit tame, there is less chance of musking.

It depends on the snake. I have some WC snakes that I caught as neonates that do not bite or musk and have not done it since day one. I have some that will bite the hell out of you and musk you all over. It all just depends on the animal itself. And even CB will musk, depending on the personality of each individual. Andy
