question about tail kinking

mrcat997 Aug 22, 2005 05:21 PM

none of my snakes have a kinked tail but i recently came across an amazing chondro.i mean amazing at an almost as amazing price,no doubt due to a really bad tail kinking.as far as genetics go,this snake had everything going for it but its common knowledge that tail kinks as bad as the one i saw, will hinder and often prevent successful copulation.now i have not yet the honor to breed but all the successful breeders i have spoken to tell me this is the case so i have no reason to doubt it.my question is,lets say you own an amazing chondro, super high blue lets say, that would normally be a once in a lifetime chondro but had an accident and kinked its tail really bad.the snake is so nice it could easily be worth 10,000.do you think he could be taken to a vet and fitted with some sort of cast or brace that can fix or over time, straighten the kink.kinda like braces? if not and the snake is not able to breed because of it,can anything else be done?like artificial insemination?? just something i was wondering about ever since seeing this snake.amazing animal!. true blue with gold diamonds down its back.i really dont remember seeing a single green scale.
