Daytona Expo - Thayeri Results

RussBates Aug 22, 2005 07:06 PM

Hope you fellow mexicana nutz found what you were looking for at the expo. I was dissappointed to say the least. I had high hopes for adding some more vibrant bloodlines to my colony but that was not to be found. I did purchase one female that is kind of a peach leonis from my good friend Mitch Allen. Mitch is one of the nicest guys you could ever come across. Somebody else purchased a trio or quad group from him....maybe they post here?

Maybe Tampa will have the smoking thayeri I was hoping to see. Until then I'll just have to admire my own babies and get hot on a kingsnake account so I can get them out the door before they become "holdbacks".

Later,
Russ

I wish I would have met you there Russ....I was there ALL weekend.
I purchased a smoking LOW black thayeri from Mitch Allen.
He IS a very good guy in my book.
I also got a keyholed saddled male from Bob and Mike Hallet to go with my 2004 holdback. Working on a leopard line....LOL

I know what you mean about some becoming holdbacks....LOL
I am selling at the Austin show this weekend just for that reason...LOL

I also got a nice trio of Mexmex from Mark Kenderdine...One of the best in my book (Mark that is).
I will post pics soon of my recent mexicana.

The LOW black one is from Mitch Allen.
The hallow saddled one is from Bob and Mike.
Some of the nicest I saw there...
Enjoy,

Got this real nice trio from one of the nicest guys there...Mark Kenderdine (crimsonking).
I love the male.....It has the busy pattern with splitbands and side speckles. Pictured on the bottom.

John,
You must have gotten that one from Mitch first thing Friday. I was very, I mean very tempted by his but did not see one that nice! Had I seen one with that much orange in the body color I would have bought it. Bruce Skipper had some truely outstanding Milksnake phase, not reduced black like I prefer but florescent orange color. Wish I new more faces, I did not recognize any of your names (on vendor name tags) and I was looking. Just got home to two clutches of snakes hatching a week early and a rosy starting to give birth (third Thayeri clutch is one, the first one is a "screamer" (that word just cracks me up).
Anyway, at least half the vendors there had a few to hundreds of Ball python morphs. It was hard to see anything else because they were all in the way. Can you say Ball Python market crash!

PS. Mitch was a nice guy to talk to.

I had a Leopard spot Thayeri hatch out this morning (last night sometime). I just stood there stairing at it, I was almost late to work. I will try to get a pic tonight. I'm still kind of kicking myself for not picking up the no black Thayeri from Mitch Allen.

Let's see that Leopard spotted thayeri Rick....
And yes the no black thayeri were awesome. I did not even know Mitch produced them. I may have to pick up a couple more later this year or next.....Addiction is awful!!!!.......LOL

I would love to see an orange leopard thayeri someday hatch out over here.....Dan V. tells me it takes generations to produce....I hope I have enough time.....LOL
