Leopard gecko isn't opening eyes

natural_aquaria Aug 22, 2005 10:00 PM

I just started working at a pet store, and there is a little geck in the back room that looks horrible. He's pretty small (maybe 3 or 4 inches from snout to tail tip) and thin. His tail has been severed somehow, about halfway, though I'm not suprised about that, as this tends to happen often at pet stores...

What I can't figure out is why he does not open his eyes. He moves around his cage, drinks...they've been force-feeding him "cricket-slurpies"...just wondering if anyone might know why he would be keeping his eyes closed...

I saw your post yesterday, but I don't have an answer for you. Sorry. I was hoping somebody else might have some idea. You could try drgecko.com He has a lot of info. Hope that helps.
