Nighttime Activities

Does anyone watch their leo at night, I mean like when they are out being active? Because I swear my leo likes to climb. I'm thinking of getting one of those nets for her to climb at night... what do u all think?

I have a log for my girl to climb on. She is very young (still has her stripes). I know she climbs on it because she uses the top part of it for her litter box area. I saw her on it once, and she was pretty coordinated and agile. I would worry about their little toenails getting stuck in the netting. Since my girl is so young, she sleeps alot. At night, she is usually flat out sleeping on the uth floor tile.

I wouldn't get a climbing net, but many leos like those little corner hammocks where they can climb up and sit in them. If you have a glass cage, try that. They aren't too bright and easily get stuck in large live/fake plants and netting, which can be very dangerous

I have found my leos in such strange places that were so high up, I'd really like to see how they get up there but I can never catch them in the act! Mine often wake me up during the night and occasionally they make such a noise that I get out of bed to see what the heck they're doing. I have a few "diggers" too - when I turn on a small light to see what's up, I often find them sitting on a great heap of peat moss in the middle of their cages...not in the humid hide where it should be! They give you this look like a 4 year old that has been caught in the act of drawing on the walls.

Just make sure anything you put in there to climb on can't fall down. Leos can be a lot stronger than you'd think and can easily maim themselves on toppled cage furniture that you thought was wedged and propped up to avoid this.
