new own with a few questions

Hi
My husband brought an iguana last week, he's a baby at the moment bout 4 or 5 inch snout to vent. At the moment he/she is in a viv with one of our water dragons who is about 9 months old (viv is 48x18x18 approx). Now the shop where we got him we were told he is ok living with water dragons, they seem to get on ok, but now seeing the post below re him not eating any crickets i am a little worried as oviously we feed crickets to the Water dragon and i have seen him chase the odd one and we were also told at the shop that they do eat them when there babys. Now the iguana staying with the water dragon was going to be a long term aggrangement as my husband is building a large viv 8ftx5x7 high, which was to house these two and are 18mth old water dragons. Any1 tell me if this is a good or bad idea thanks. Oh the Water dragons the older pair are male and female and the younger one we believe is female.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't house those two together seeing how they might have territory fueds.. And also I wouldn't feed the Iguana crickets as it can be hazardous to it's health. A quick run to the food mart once a week to pick up some greens can solve that problem =D.

I would really not recommend having them together. Anytime herps are put together there is a chance of not just territory issues but also with infections, parisites, and other things being passed back and forth. Did you quarentine the Ig before you put them together?

They live in trees, and eat the leaves of the trees. Please do not feed ANY animal protein to your iguana! This will result in death by kidney failure by about 5 years old, as their kidneys cannot handle animal protein. Igs need dark green, calcium rich greens like collards and turnips. For more information on ig care, go to www.iguana-zone.com , and checkout the basic care section.
