I have a young corn snake that I have had for about a year. I currently house it (not sexed yet) in a 20 gallon long tank. I am going to make a new enclosure for it from wood, and I was wondering if it is possible for me to make the cage too long or tall. Right now it doesn't move a lot, I never see it out of its hide, and if I ever do see it out it just freezes then disapears when I turn around. I was wondering if there was something I could add to this next enclosure to make it (the snake) more comfortable or active. I thought that because the new tank will only have one glass side, that the snake will just be more comfortable naturally, but maybe I am wrong, I am no expert. Your help is greatly appreciated.
