unxchange Jul 17, 2003 05:21 PM

i think my Flyriver turtle , pig nosed turtle might have some sort of fungal infection on them.. they are kinda whitish and looks to be peeling or something..

I was wondering what is that medicine you use on them.. where you use a cotton swab and apply it on their skin a couple times a day or something like that? I really want to cure them..

HElp? please

Hi, I have a couple of them, and when I first acquired them, the same thing happened. I started soaking them in "super sulfa" every day for about two weeks. It started getting better right away. I used one capsul per 5 gallons of water. Also make sure that you have good filtration and circulation in their tank. I also do 100% water changes every week. I hope this helps. Good luck...these guys are awesome animals.

If you do a 100% water change you will have to cycle your tank all over again.
Anyway, I now have one of Unxchanges FRT in my Ray tank and the fungus is gone, Thx to Unx, and he is doing great
