Measuring

Ok , I had My Normal Male outside while i cleaned his cage today.
Now i had just measured him with a string , going right down his backbone , Acording to the string , He's 10'4" long.
Now while he was going up the side of the house , He had straightened out completely and was just crawling with his belly scales ,And he stoped when i walked up to him. I grabed my tape measure and measured him from nose to tail. And the Tape measure says he's 11'2".
Now i was wondering , Since the string way when he isnt streched out is that much shorter , if i were to sell him , How long should i say he is ?
Not that i am selling , I was just sitin here thinkin up something to keep the forum going , When it hit me ,, I wonder how much diffrence in length there is , by stringing him when he's coiled up , and when crawling , Cause they always seem longer when there laid out , then when in there cage.
Anyone Have a Comment ? Anyone tryed to figure out just how much they can stretch there body's ?
And would My Male be 10'4" or 11'2" ?
