I will probably go to the upcoming NC Reptile & Exotic show in Raleigh. I've been their before, but that was before i got interested in red-eyed tree frogs. Has anybody been their before to look at frogs? Do they usually have red-eyed tree frogs in September?
How much do red eyed tree frogs cost normally at reptile shows? I currently have a 20 gallon long tank (I will set it up vertically, not horizontally) that I can setup for frogs. How many tree frogs can be put in that setup? Is it okay to use fake plants, or do the frogs prefer live plants?

Two, I'd say.
I think it's good for them to have company, but at the same time 20 gallon is a small enclosure for them, so you don't want to crowd them.
They can be quite active.

What you see in pet stores doesn't represent a comfortable habitat for them, remember. They might be put in 10 in a 30 gallon, but they'll get stressed out while like that, and it's only until they get sold.

I think three would be happy in a 30 gallon.

Don't know if you went to the Raleigh show or not. I picked up a pair of red-leg walking frogs there (posted above). Didn't see any red-eyed tree frogs.
