I'll be interested in seeing if they grow as fast as Kim W reported. From 8" to 20" in one year is, well, quite different, considering most other ringnecks won't grow a full 2 inches in one year.
Regals have such abnormal rings too. I found this pic the other day on the AHA forum, that sucker's neck ring gotta be like 6 scale rows long??

Nice regal. Regalringneck, good luck with the hatchlings! I have also noticed lots of unusual rings in regal ringnecks. I have some prairies, and one of them has a ring that's red, and looks kind of like two triangles next to eachother. The other has a complete, solid yellow ring around its neck like a Northern. I've also seen some with orangish rings of all different sizes. Just that species alone sure is diverse. Any genus that can range from the green mountains of Vermont to the flat, open deserts of Arizona has to be pretty interesting.
