Angel, i believe this guy is looking to pay under $100 for bloods. try looking through the kingsnake.com classifieds. one can always find bloods listed for around $65.00
(here's a pic of Rambo. i bought him at a show in atlanta for $65.00)

Wow! Has the blood market really gotten to the point where people are selling cbb for 65.00?
That seems ridiculous to me, that is an awesome looking snake I hope you just got the deal of the century, and that is not the trend of the future!
No wonder people are offering me corn snakes as trade possibilities for my bloods!
Chris

I haven't seen any CBB snakes for $65, just farm hatched. Most people are even selling farm hatched for over $100, so I wouldn't worry. -chris-
I know a place where you can get really good USA CB baby borneo and sumatran bloods for $55 ...also got lots of other stuff at kick a## prices. His name is Michael Powell. I bought a baby borneo from him earlier this year.Awesome deal. His email is qfpets@bellsouth.net He has a weekly price list that usually goes out on mondays. send him an email that says ADD and he will add you to his weekly price list.

Be excellent to each other...and Party on dude!
If you can't afford to pay 100 bucks for the snake, how can you afford caging, heating, thermostats, and substrate, let alone food???
Its just a red flag whenever someone is going for cheap over quality...
i believe id rather see someone want to purchase a cheap snake and then have the money left over for food and shelter rather than dish out an assload of money for the snake but then be unable to provide it with a decent tank or anything. better to give good care to a cheap snake than to give crappy care to an expensive one.

I think that the more people pay for their animals the better chance theyre going to take good care of them. if their 65$ snake croaks, "oh well it was only 65$" but if it cost $365 then thats an investment they dont want to lose. its just a theory and I know that there are folks here who bought cheap animals and take great care of them, bu tI think that they are the exception.
jeff
well then i must be the exception. i like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in such matters. would you ratrher here of someone paying a tiny bit of money for a snake that later dies or a $375 snake that later dies? i know it doesnt really matter because they still die but i think more of a fuss would be put forth from people if the expensive one died. of course thats just my opinion and you know what they say about those.

I would rather see that person save up a few months, do some research, and hang out in the forum with experienced keepers etc. instead of going "I have 200 dollars leftover from my paycheck this month, what can I get with it? Ok, the tank costs 150, which means I have 50 left over for a snake...
Then they end up buying from the cheapest importer on kingsnake, get a sickly baby with mites, and then the snake dies due to possibly mediocre care, but most likely inexperience and lack of education.
Buying cheap just SCREAMS impulse buy, and while everyone here has probably purchased an animal on impulse (my blood was an impulse buy), I know that I would rather see people do better than what I did. My snake is healthy as a horse and everything turned out ok, but I had great help from people here, and just enough experience/research to pull it off. If I had purchased an import at the show instead of a high quality, well-started (slightly expensive) baby, then things might not have turned out so well.
The fact of the matter is that cheap and inexpensive are two very different things. When someone goes for CHEAP, then certain aspects of their personality, husbandry, and intentions are brought into question.
Lol...good advise Alinda...but don't we all buy them on impulse? I have 15 impulses now. Hopefully no more, but who knows!
I also hate it when people try to buy a snake for cheap. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind paying less some times, but I've been burnt before going cheap and will never do it again. I've found it's better to spend a few extra bucks and buy from a well known breeder who produces quality than gamble on the possibility of getting a crap animal or worse, a sick one.
a good cbb blood is very well worth a little more.you better get you one before they go up!!!!LOL
