I do belive that high white chondros do develop white at an early age. You can see the same sort of color change in high white Mearukes. Before they start turning green you can the white scales starting to develop.

Here is a photo of my high white male as a juiv to further illustrate my point.

as an adult

youre right, but i think hes talking about the white scales inside the dark markings, its different than the white scales youre talking about, what youre talking about stays white, his white is common on many neonates, aru or not.they usually turn green.if you compare your pic to his youll see the difference.one of my neonates also had white coming in before he turned ygreen, just like your pics, but the pic in the original post has the white seen in many neonates that usually doesnt stay into adulthood.

No, his is also showing white outside the markings. Not easy to see yet, but it's there if you look at the photo. Looks like it's going to have some nice blue on the face too. Gorgeous animal Julian!

I feel it has more to do with the specific bloodlines and how "true" they reproduce. For I have several Arus that I hatched (now 18 months old) from locality pure adults that literally exploded with their white (and good amounts of it) after going more than 50% green. In fact, there is one from the clutch that now has the most amount of white, and it developed the latest. Furthermore, it initially had the least amount of white yet the most amount of green. I'm sure it happens the other way also. I'm just adding my own personal observations with my Arus and this particular bloodline.
