Reccomend a monitor?

deviledapple Aug 24, 2005 12:34 PM

I finally persuaded my fiance to sell off his younge nile monitor, and get a monitor more suited our space limits. I'm looking for suggestions on what KIND of monitor to get him. (of course, by "him" i mean something he can look at find awesome, and i can handle caring for).

I'd like something that would, as an adult, be able to inhabit the cage we've been using for the nile monitor, 6ft long, and 2x2 wide and tall, filled mostly with dirt, if need be this can be made taller, but the 6x2 measurements of the base are set in stone. i would perfer something that is moderatly handleable, i at least want to be able to carry it around with gloves when i need too. i want something that stays small enough to not need more than like, a large mouse or two a day, since that stuff gets really expensive really fast, and i'm not going to be able to set up to breed my own for some time.
