Remember that Half Starved Albino Burm in the $80K range?

tango Jul 17, 2003 06:02 PM

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Remember that newspaper article about the albino Burmese in the family that said that they'd been offered $80,000 for him? That he was kept in a reptarium and fed rodents and was pitifully small and thin and sometimes bit them? Well, they are offering him for stud service now. Their we site announces that he is sought after by breeders and collectors. A bunch of us wrote to the newspaper with corrections for the original reporter. Poor thing.

HA HA HA,.. just kidding,.. man, that site is HILARIOUS! I was cracking UP as I saw the pictures of the amazing words and images in his "unique" and "one of a kind" pattern. LMAO! I'm surprised they couldn't locate Jesus somewhere on him, ha ha. What a ridiculous site and what funny people. I could probably find half of the Gettysburg Address in some of my pythons' patterns. Thanks for this hilarious post Marcia,. I owe you one!

my burm has the second half of the Gettysburg Address on her. When bred together they should be het for the full speech, LOL. That is a pretty funny site. Recently in a city in my state there was condensation in between two panes of glass. Before you know it, all the christians were going there saying they could see the virgin mary in the design. I guess all these people have a far better imagination than I do, my loss. Take care, Scott.

Maybe the Gettysburg Ghost or the Lincoln Labyrinth. And if 'MAJOR BREEDERS' are offering $80,000 for a snake with 'love' on the side what are they going to be offering for ours, Wheeww. I'm going online right now to pick out that Porsche Carrera I've always wanted. Take care, Scott. P.S. a note for Bob Clark, NERD, etc. my email is snakinaroundtown@yahoo.com

Man, this one is hard to top, ha ha ha. Maybe the address will read,.. "Four scale and seven spurs ago,..." lol. And instead of the playboy bunny these will have the BMW emblem on their tails, ha ha

hahahahhah!!! That's supposed to be actual words on him? Oh my gosh that's so funny!!!
You think those are cool? I swear on an albino I ran across, I saw vampire fangs! haha!

Sorry, someone either really has NO clue on burms and that patterns are in the eye of the beholder (unless they truly are that obvious...which these clearly are NOT) or this is their way of saying, "I want money, please see my BS on ways to get it".

Were these people on tv once with their "unique" burm?

Amanda - laughing so hard she should bust a lung.

he was in a local New England paper. I tracked down the address and wrote to the reporter. She should have done some homework before touting that snake as a rare exception (albnios are very rare the article said). The article read like all the mistakes one could possibly make were being listed as keeping guidelines. I hope no one calls them for husbandry advice. Am I willing to pay over $1000 for stud service? They have no clue as to how pathetic that site is.

That is truly, the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

Larryskeepers Jul 18, 2003 11:33 AM

I think some people just have wayyyyyyy to much free time on there hands, cause if i look hard enough i can see a butt on my ball python larry.... wow he must be ultra special... ill sell him for 40,000 cause he's not as big as Malichi sooo you know i can't ask as much.. Ohhhh get a life people! that ad sucks so much...

opethkills Jul 19, 2003 01:12 PM

they probably think they sound so astoundingly sophisticated by using 'morph patterns' to describe their slighty aberrant ordinary albino burmese. They should have taken that $80,000.00 and purchased a clue.
