I am looking into possibly starting to breed bloods. Who makes the best cages for breeding them with side ventilation? I'm think about cages 36"x24"x12". Any help on caging idea would be great.
Thanks,

Les, You may want to reconsider the size you have picked out. Females should really be in atleast a 4' long cage. Bloods need to be able to stretch out or it can and will cause respitory problems. 3' long cages should be ok for males, but even some males will need 4' long cages. If it were me I would go the extra foot in length. All of our cages are 4x2x14 and we have 21 bloods now. Height really doesnt matter a whole lot, I just went with 14 inch height so it was easier to get into to clean and work with the snakes. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Once you go blood, you never go back!

You better send it to me! Lol...very nice.
4 foot long minimum for adults... Here's mine, and my female needed a large cage within a year. Do you already have bloods???

i've had some babies in the past, but i want to get into breeding.
This is some of our cages from about a year ago. They are 4'Lx2'Dx14"H heated with a 2' strip of 11" flexwatt. Keeps the basking spot at 85 and the ambient at 82.

You should look at A.P. cages also. I only keep my bloods housed in A.P. cages and racks. I use T-10's for my adults.. Just my 2 cents worth.. Ryan
