She went a little early this year...First Gravid female......Maybe an early winter here

robertmcphee Aug 24, 2005 08:42 PM

Who knows. But I noticed her producing follicles In the end of June. So I put the male with her the first week of July. She ovulated twice. Once on the second of august and again on the fifteenth of august. Now she is in the beginning of her POS. The male has been moved for now into the next lucky ladys' cage. This will be the same pairing that produced some very nice hypos and normal/pastels. She should complete her POS sometime in the first week of September over a month earlier than last year. Babies before christmas.

Hey Bob, that sounds great!! I noticed the same thing as far as females going earlier this year. I have a female Anery that POS on 8/11/05 and the female that produced those incredible Salmons for me on feb. 3rd 2005...is now getting ready to go into her POS !!! She may have 2 (2005) litters!!! I wonder if that has ever been done? I am almost finished with a 3rd female and ready for the 4rth. Seemed to happen very fast this time...I hope I did ok. Time will tell! Good luck and Congrats!! LOL
I just realized that! I am sorry!
It's my friday, I am taking tomorrow and all next week off work to visit family (and reptile stores) back in the Bay Area, I just got way too excited!!
sorry... my bad!

mdc Aug 25, 2005 12:11 PM

Are you from the SF Bay Area? I grew up in Concord and live in Pittsburg now. I really wish it was my friday now, lol.

ChrisGilbert Aug 25, 2005 12:28 PM

you live in Pittsburgh. I live in the South Hills.
I definately need to stop buy to see your killer collection!

mdc Aug 25, 2005 12:35 PM

Actually I'm moving to Vallejo in a week or two. I've also sold off a lot of my collection to buy a house, but I'll still have most of my adult breeders.

Vallejo!

I used to live there...
Not much there except... the NUT TREE! (restaurant)

We moved to CA when I was 11, I lived in Vallejo then we moved to San Jose (bay area). I took a 3 yr break from SJ and lived in SoCal in HB, Costa Mesa and Riverside.. then ran for my life back to the Bay! lol Now in sin city.. I do miss CA just not the cost of living.

Have a safe move!

Hey Dave!

It is a small world! Did you ever go to BAARS meetings?
I can't wait to come on back to good ol' San Jose.
Maybe the construction on the 101 will finally be complete. ha!
Good luck with the rest of the BRBs!! I sold my BRB this year,
I do miss him, they are such awesome snakes. Take it easy!

LOL, yes I am still a member, don't go to very many meetings, too busy I guess. When were you part of BAARS? I've always loved the BRB's, I have several breeders and a whole !@#$ load of babies this year.

I know what you mean with the 101 but they now have more lanes open going South, remember when there was only four lanes? Commuting is not a problem for me, I live 2 miles from work :-p''' closest I get to freeway driving is taking Cottle rd over the 85....LOL
