I saved these two from a rodent trap in The High Sierra's! ****PICS****

These two were stuck in a sticky rodent trap in the sierra nevada's.... They were in an outside laundry mat. I cleaned them off and let them go in the wood pile near our home... It's awesome, the feeling you get when you saved not only one life but two live!!! Beautiful lizards!!!!!!

Where are you located? I live in the sierra nevadas as well. In Amador County to be exact, Good going on the rescue and release.

I live in Shaver Lake in Madera county.... It's on the california side of the sierras. Thanks! I'm just glad I found them before they died. I saw them running around last night as the sun was going down. Gives ya a good feeling....

You are right, what a feeling!!

Alligator lizards are quite common east of the Cascade Mountains of WA. I live in Vancouver, and there are a few in the moist Willamette Valley, but they are much more common in the drier areas of the Columbia Gorge. Weeks ago, we saw many while hiking in the White Salmon/Bingen area.
