Is this normal...dalmatian spotting after 1 year of age???

lilroach56 Aug 24, 2005 09:39 PM

I bought my orange tiger from Anthony spring of 2004 and watched it develope into a colorful orange tiger. Within the last 2 weeks however its developing dalmatian spotting (about 7 spots throughout the body). Is that normal for it to show up that late (crested is about 1.5 years)?

A lot of cresteds develop more spots as they age. Most of the time, you hear about hatchlings and juveniles, but 1.5 years is not unheard of. I'm always excited to find a new dot. Sounds stupid, but it's just something else to love about cresties... always changing colors on you.

Just thought it was something weird for an adult to have a color change.

Thanks for the new guy.
