rules of introduction?

tamlin Aug 25, 2005 02:02 AM

i know that the stardand rule to introducting new cagemates is to keep them seperated for at least a month to make sure everyone is healthy. but i was wondering if you knew your current leo was healthy and checked out recently and you had the new one checked out and they were healthy as well, could you forgo the quarantine and just place them together automatically? it seems logical enough to me, any thoughts?

Where'd you get it from? The standard quarantine is 90 days. Sometimes parasites don't come up in fecals but that doesn't mean they don't have them. I'd watch him for 3 months to play it safe. Why the big rush to move the gecko in with the other?
