I just thought I would let you guys know that I couldn't bring myself to trade in my radiated. She also seems to be calming down, which makes me think it was the heat. I need to get better temp gages for all my reptiles. Of course now that she's calming down,I just realised she has mites again. It's always something LOL. I'm going to keep on working with her and hopefully It'll all work out. Once again thanks for all your help.

Well that's good, not about the mites though...keep us informed as to how things are going.

What kind of treatment have you tried to get rid of the mites?

I use Reptile Relief. I was told that the reason she may have gotton them again is do to the fact that the mites will lay eggs in the snakes eyes. I was told to make sure I rub her head with the Reptile Relief real well.

Kim, if that doesn't work I'd suggest trying Provent a Mite. Mites are a pain to get rid of. Even with PAM I have to treat twice at least, every ten days. Nothing kills eggs, except maybe soaking in bleach solution, and you can't do that to your snake. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. I'm sure with six snakes and a water dragon in my house this won't be the last time I see mites. It seems like lately there is always someone sick. I'm in the process of treating my boa for parasites from a bad rat pup, and now my ball python has been soaking in her water for three days now(I don't see any mites). I have no idea what is wrong with her.

Make sure your snakes aren't overheating. If they're soaking a lot, they might be trying to rid themselves of mites or are trying to cool down.

Unforunatlly I just realised that she also has mites. Where can I find Provent A Mite? None of my local stores carry it.

Thanks Kim

I have another question. Will regular flea killer for carpets kill mites?

Thanks Kim
