i have 2 hatian curly tails, a plated lizard and 2 red eared sliders.
i am finding out that the lighting i have had for so long is not right...
right now i am only using exo terra sun glo bulbs in incandescent hoods for all of my reptiles. i guess i need a full spectrum bulb, preferably in incandescent (typical light bulb screw-in) form.
i have plenty of all-glass 6500k bulbs (first bulb in the link) that i use for my planted fish aquariums.
since they are 6500k, does that mean they are full spectrum? (im not sure that i really understand what 'full spectrum' means) will these bulbs work in conjunction with the ones i currently have?
i was looking at the coralife 50/50 bulbs in the link but unlike normal coralife 50/50s (which are full spectrum), they are 10000k instead of 6000k. does that matter? i am basing my thoughts on hearing that "full spectrum" is in the 5400-6500k range. is this true? surely, this cant be the only factor. (a link explaining 'full spectrum' might help)
please help me find the right bulbs for my babies
