corncob bedding

i was wondering if it would be good in my boas tub. he's on newspaper now and was just wondering. i have some spair bedding i saw im my closet, thats what made me remember.

I would not recommend corncob bedding for your boa. It works well for a dry habitat, but with the humidity boas require mold can be a problem. Also, I would DEFINITELY NOT feed on it. Ingestion could easily cause an impaction affecting the animal's health.

mold? i never new that about cornbob. i just learned somthing!
i new about impactions too but ok i'll stick to newspaper!

you leave poop or urates in there with corncob and it will mold up quickly within a day , even a few hours.

with the newspaper, it is very unlikely to occur...

The fancy cage liners purchased by big breeders can be had cheaper...
just buy the indented kraft paper at shipping/packaging supply places like www.ULINE.com . You can buy different strenghts/thickness, for different snakes/cages.

Very clean, neat, easy, efficient.

Another good medium, if you can get it clean and cheap, is shredded aspen. Clean, smells purty, easy spot cleaning...
If the boa is small, he may burrow, if large, he will pack the mulch down to a smooth surface.
