Neonate Crotaphytus collaris...

all2human Aug 25, 2005 10:03 PM

The eggs that I was incubating in sand (pictures were posted about two months ago) hatched yesterday morning. All eleven of them emerged successfully, and appear to be doing well. I'll try to post more pictures as soon as I have time.

Enjoy!

Oh how sweet! They look like they're grinning. Such beautiful babies.

I am impressed that all eleven of them hatched. You've really got the touch.

The parents look very familiar. You find those yourself? If I ever got out west again, maybe we could meet in the field.

I was able to acquire the adults locally, although I am confident (unfortunately) that they are wild-caught. I was not planning on breeding anymore collareds, especially since the chameleons take up so much of my day, so I'll be looking for homes for these guys in a month or two.

I would love to do some herping in Oklahoma... I've only seen collareds in the wild a couple of times! Perhaps time will allow me to do so in the spring.

Best regards,

Fabian

I thought they might have been special Texas locale collareds. good looking parents none-the-less.
