Copperhead and Apalachicola Kingsnake range overlap in the northern half of Liberty County. Copperheads are much more prevalent in the upland hardwood communities of the northern part of the valley where there are pure Eastern Kingsnakes.
Copperheads can also be found in northern Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties in the western panhandle.
