Vision cages Vs. Melamine cages

tristan Aug 26, 2005 02:39 AM

Hello all,
I'm going to be getting my first tegu and I'm trying to decide between a vision cage and a melamine cage.
I've read the posts below regarding the heating problems with the visions.
Has anyone owned both and can share your experiences with each?
They're both about the same price... just wanted your opinions.
Thanks so much!
Tristan

Melamine will not hold up to the humidity required for a Tegu. It's also very heavy. If you are handy search the Monitor forum for cage building tips. Many folks over there use various woods lined with FRP sheets. That seems to work well.
