leopard gecko around month old
ok i have a (not sure of the size) old fish tank which i cleaned out and rubbed a bit of my sisters pet anti ceptic on. its around the size of 1 and a third pieces of a4 paper and is filled up with vita-sand(says on hte packet excellent for substrate for---- and then leopard geckos (but doesnt say what size)) around half an inch of it. i have a heating rock that feels slightly warm to touch and i have a erm... heat light thing (says ceramic infrared heat emitter on the bulb box)
im planning to go out in around half an hour and to get a water bowl another rock for the cooler side of the tank and to get the gecko.
the walls are glass there is a small rectangular hole at the top that was previously used for fish food and i have the wires going out of its around the size of ... around 2 by one inches.
is there anything else i need? is there something i have done wrong? i dont want to buy the gecko and then kill him by accident cus the rock is too hot or he swallows sand or something... can anyone reply? also i have a thermometer on the cooler side of the tank and it currently says 24ºC or 76ºF
