What kind of Rat Snake is it?
How old is it or how long is it?
How long have you had the snake?
What have you been feeding it?
Has anything changed as far as how or where you keep this snake?

it looks like the 1 in the picture but the colors are red,black,grey and has the same stripes around the head and it about 9 inches long and kinda skinny ive had there days now and i tried freeding a pinky it would bite it but would'nt eat it

Sounds like you have a King or a Milk Snake. Can you post a picture of it? Where did you get it from?
I don't think you have a Rat Snake. Try to post a picture. I am sure we can point you in the right direction.

If you caught it, you might just consider letting it go VERY close to where you found it. If you bought it...Let it settle in a few days and then try again. What else can you tell us about this mystery snake? Duffy
