...Also, check down the forum for lots of examples of lots of different colors of corns. Yeah, you're gonna have to feed 'em rodents. But doing the frozen/thawed thing is really easy. Unless, since you already keep some, you want to start a little food factory of your own. Even then, you might want to freeze some for later use, or just so they don't get used to eating live. At least pre-kill them. Duffy

Those snake sausage thingies? I think I read about them in Kathy Love's Corn Snake Manual. I have no idea in this world where the heck you would get them but that would be the only mice/rat substitute I can think of.

Insect diet is out of the question unfortunately.

Sounds like Iguana's might be more your style, they are completely vegetarians...

Good luck

I heard that they're not making the sausages anymore?
But I would -not- recommend an iguana. Sure, they eat veggies, but they need a room-sized enclosure and aren't that easy to take care of.

As far as snakes, the only ones that eat insects are small and not commonly kept in captivity. I think a rough green snake is probably the most common insect-eating snake.

And here is one from the Chino Valley, AZ area. An 18 incher would be a big one.

Ground snakes are cool insectivores. If you don't want a mouse eating snake you might try those. I have 7 of those, they all live in the same aquarium, eat crickets like candy, and hide under rocks or branches the rest of the time. This snake is from Maricopa County AZ, west of phoenix.

What do you feed your monitors? They too need whole pret items to get the proper amount of vitamins? Just curious, and I guessed that you kept Monitors by the name.
Good Luck
