vipers anyone?

dantheham Aug 27, 2005 05:57 PM

Hi

I'm planning to diversify my Geckos a bit. I like the looks of the Viper geckos, Teratolepis fasciata. Anyone currently raising these? Pros and cons?

Thanks,

-----
Dan

Yeah If i can convince someone I'm gonna get some too. They are very small and get only 4 inches... but you probably already new that. They need sand as substrate, playsand will do but not calci sand I've heard. A ten gallon could house 5 if you have enough room for 5 hides. You can buy one or make you own. Broken claypots in half, or cut out a little hole in some plastic container. They need very small crickets when there are babies; mealworms will work too. Low humidity since there a desert species, and I forgot the temp. And at the moment thats all I can think of. I'm sure I've missed something. Let me know
