I can't help it. Anyway, hes a 3'5" male with plenty of girth. Anyway, when he's out and me or my girlfriend are holding him, he makes a small wheezing noise, but not like an RI. Ive dealt with those before and know the basic symptoms. He has no fluid, I haven't seen him yawn, or any other characteristics. But, when he's out checking out new area's of my apartment, he wheezes. It's almost like he's smelling out his new surroundings. Does anyone else have a BP with these same habits. Or do you think it may be early stages of an RI. Like i said, I dont think it is because when he's in his cage, he breathes perfectly normal. I've thought about maybe stress related, but he shows no signs of stress. Anyway, if anyone has a clue or a story, please reply. THanks in advance.

Maybe the start of an RI. When I first got my bp, she used to wheeze too, I never treated her for anything, and she is fine now, so I dont know. Maybe mine had an RI, but it just went away...

They are addictive aren't they!! Well I had a similar situation with my ball python but for totally different reasons. My baby boy had belly rot and i had to clean him with hydrogen peroxide dilute. Anyway it used to freak him out and hurt a bit and he used to make a weird hissing wheezing noise. It is definitely stress related. As long as he has no mucas and is eating ok I wouldnt worry about him.

Just another possiblity is sometimes befor a shed snakes will weeze just a little bit. So if you think he may be close to a shed, that could be what it is. Just an idea.
